These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Reflection Messenger (“Reflection”, “the Service”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). By using Reflection, you agree to these Terms.

What Reflection Does

Reflection Messenger is a messaging service that provides you with a dedicated phone number. Messages sent to this number are analyzed and summarized before you see them, giving you space to process difficult communications on your own terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Reflection. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.

Your Account

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and device
  • You must provide a valid phone number for account verification
  • You may not create multiple accounts or share your account credentials
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Reflection to:

  • Send spam, unsolicited messages, or bulk communications
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse others
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ data
  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service

Messaging and Phone Numbers

  • Reflection provides you with a phone number through Twilio for message routing
  • Standard messaging rates from your carrier may apply when receiving SMS verification codes
  • Message delivery depends on third-party carriers and services; we cannot guarantee delivery of every message
  • You are responsible for the content of messages you send through the Service

AI Features

  • AI summaries and discussion features are provided as-is and may not always be accurate
  • AI-generated content is not a substitute for professional advice (legal, medical, psychological, or otherwise)
  • Message content sent to the AI is scrubbed of personally identifiable information before processing
  • AI features are optional and can be disabled in your settings

Subscription and Pricing

  • Reflection offers a subscription service at $9.99/month or $89.99/year
  • Pricing is subject to change with reasonable notice
  • Payment terms are governed by the platform through which you subscribe (Google Play, Apple App Store, or direct billing)

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Intellectual Property

  • Reflection Messenger and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws
  • You retain ownership of any content you create or send through the Service

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

IN PARTICULAR:

  • We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated summaries or analysis
  • We do not guarantee message delivery or timing
  • We do not guarantee the availability of phone numbers in any particular area code

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REFLECTION MESSENGER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms
  • Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via your registered phone number. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
